ZUCAMI is taking part in FENAVI 2026, the major Latin American poultry industry event

From 1st to 3rd September, the Spanish company took part in the 22nd FENAVI Congress in Cali, Colombia – the largest poultry event in the Spanish-speaking world – which brought together professionals, producers and companies from across the poultry supply chain to discuss innovation, sustainability and the sector’s development.

Colombia, a strategic poultry market
ZUCAMI’s presence at FENAVI reflects Colombia’s strategic importance within the Latin American poultry market. The country is currently undergoing a phase of growth and modernisation in its production sector, driven by high domestic demand for poultry protein and the need to progressively improve the efficiency of poultry farms.
In 2025, Colombia achieved a record production of 3.17 million tonnes of poultry protein, comprising 2 million tonnes of chicken meat and 19,402 million eggs. Consumption also reflects the importance of the poultry sector in the country, with an annual average of 37.8 kg of chicken and 366 eggs per capita. This growth also forms part of the increasing importance that Latin America has acquired within global poultry protein production. The region accounts for a significant share of global chicken meat production and exports, making it a priority market for the adoption of new technologies and automation systems.

Technology for more efficient poultry farming
In this context, ZUCAMI brings its expertise in the design and manufacture of equipment for laying hens and rearing, with solutions aimed at optimising key aspects of production, such as housing, ventilation, climate control, automation
and manure management.
For the company, FENAVI represented an opportunity to strengthen its relationship with producers, technicians and system integrators in Colombia and other Latin American markets, as well as to gain first-hand insight into their needs. This presence consolidates ZUCAMI’s international commitment to a more efficient, technologically advanced and sustainable poultry industry
